This is an amber Beaver jar I almost didn't have. At the national
show in Reno I had eyed this jar several times but had spent enough money on
several other jars during the show and just didn't feel justified at buying
this jar given what I'd already spent. Still, I really wanted it
because it's a fairly well known jar and I didn't have an example. At
the end of the show as I was tearing down the one and only display I've ever
put up, the lady selling the jar made me an offer I couldn't refuse (and no,
it didn't involve a horse's head). So I didn't - refuse it, that is -
and here's the result.
