This jar was made in a mold that used to read "L & W" for Lorenz and
Wightman. When Lorenz left, his initial was peened out of the mold but
you can still read it (although not int this photo). This was not
uncommon at all in jars and many jars have peened out embossing.
I think there is one or two others of this jar, but it's pretty rare.
The neck of this jar is a little bit different than many wax sealers - a
bit of a bullet shape. Wax sealers can often be recognized by the
shape of the jar. In some the neck is long, some it's short.
Some are more angular, some more tapered.
The color is also a little distinct with a bit of a gunpowder blue in it.
More of a sapphire blue than a cobalt.
