Next to the cobalt Johnson & Johnson jars, this is probably the next most common cobalt jar.  That's not to say that it is actually common, just that it's more common than many other cobalt jars.  It was my first cobalt jar - well, not this one, but another one which entails a story.

I bought my first cobalt jar from Bob Chrst.  It was a repaired cobalt FCGCo jar.  The repair was actually pretty good and you had to look pretty closely to make out where it was, but it was a good size chunk.  I got it cheap as a result and was ecstatic.  Eventually, though, I wanted one without the repair and Al Vignon sold me one with a few minor chips, but essentially intact.

About that time I bought an ebay jar from a guy who seemed incredibly enthusiastic - especially about wax sealers.  I asked him if he had any cobalts and he said no, but he'd sure like to get one.  Seemed like a great time to sell my old repaired FCGCo quart so I asked him if he was interested in getting a cobalt jar extra cheap and he was pretty excited.  I sent him a picture and we made the deal.  As it turned out, I was selling Greg Spurgeon his first cobalt jar.  He has turned into one of the most knowledgeable people in the hobby, one of the biggest sellers and a really nice, honest guy.  At this point, when I have questions, I often turn to Greg for answers because he has far surpassed me in knowledge of the hobby.
