I probably paid a bit too much for this one but it's a really nice deep aqua or light teal and very crude so it was right down my alley.  I've seen another with a large glass lid which looks kinda like a big inverted shallow cup.  The metal lid I have on is bogus and serves mainly to keep dust out.

This is a Hemingray jar, or so it is claimed.  I'm not really sure what basis that claim is made upon.  There is no embossing on the jar so you can't judge by that.  It's certainly a very early jar, probably pre-1860.
