One of the odder jars in my collection. This was sold by a family
in Muncie Indiana who had had it in their family for 100 years or so after
the grandfather in the family had made it in the local Ball factory as a
kind of joke. I had long suspected that crazy jars like this might
have been made as after hours jokes, but this is the first one that I'm
aware of where that suspicion has been confirmed. It and the blue
midget here are the closest I
think you can get to really bona fide cobalt midgets.
